True Blood’s Eric Hints At Season 3
True Blood star Alexander Skarsgård has dropped some hints as to what his character will be up to in season three. Spoilers ahead!
The Swedish actor plays the powerful and old vampire Eric Northman on the hit HBO show, who forged a special bond with telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse – much to the annoyance of her undead boyfriend Bill Compton. Skarsgård told Entertainment Weekly that when True Blood returns in the summer, Eric “will continue to explore the whole Sookie thing and what that’s all about”.
He also hinted at another plotline: “And in addition to that, there’s something that happened a thousand years ago that he’s still carrying in his heart. All I’ll say is he’s trying to avenge someone.”
Series creator Alan Ball also revealed that there will be a “triumvirate of evil” this season. “I’m talking about Franklin Mott, Russell Edgington, and Debbie Pelt. They are all bad to the bone. They’re not just crazy, they’re evil.” That’s not good news for Rutina Wesley’s Tara, who will be getting James Frain’s Franklin as her new boyfriend.
